BMW F30

The F30 is BMW's sixth-generation 3 Series, built from 2012 to 2019, alongside the F31 Touring. It is the most upgraded chassis in the range, and the one where fitment goes wrong most often.

The dividing line is the 2015 facelift. Pre-LCI cars left the factory with halogen or xenon units and a round corona-ring daytime running light. LCI cars carry a full LED unit with a flat-topped signature. Connectors, mounting points and coding requirements differ between the two, so confirm which one your car has before ordering. Registration year on its own is not reliable for cars built either side of the changeover.

Style names here follow aftermarket convention rather than BMW's own. Ikon refers to the hexagonal DRL signature borrowed from the G20. Laser style adds the blue accent element. Tri-colour switches the DRL between white, yellow and blue.

Retrofits onto matching connectors are usually plug and play. Moving from halogen to LED generally needs coding. If you are unsure which applies to your car, email us the VIN before you order and we will check it for you.
